First off, I got frustrated trying to load patches on my Jtag playing MW2 after burning the game from the disc. It burned just fine and I could play off the hard drive but one important step that I havent seen in any tuts is what took me forever to dig up. So for anyone out there loading files onto your jtag, make sure you do this very easy step!
Use xexpatcher (on your computer, not the xbox) on the retail/fresh/clean whatever you want to call it "default_mp.xex"
Some of you will say "oh everyone who knows what theyre doing already knows that!" well guess what? all those people were noobs at some point too and had to learn it! They werent born with that knowledge!
And secondly, not as frustrating, just a tip. Instead of messing around with a transfer cable and Xplorer garbage, just use FTP, it's so much easier and faster!

hay man do u think u could help me i bought a jtag and i dident research how to use 1 etc was a dumn move i need help hosting mw2 lobbies i cant get it to work for 6 nights now if u can help id be more then willing to pay

You rlly should of saved up ur money cause ur not gonna make much money hosting lobbys but i'am a kind and forgiving soul so just PM me bro and i'll help u out....
