Thank! I guess I'll have to take the dang thing apart.
When cleaning it soak the shell in some hot water then use a cotton-swab to clean in the button hole. If pop was spilled on it don't be surprised if you see a white powder substance. It's probably sugar unless you're making cocaine. lol jk.

This has happened to me several times. I usually take my controller apart and clean it or press it down repeatedly when it is disconnected. Hope I helped
