I'd go for which ever one your friends have, you will have more fun and a better experience. I'm an Xbox fanboy, so I say the Xbox One(If your friends have it of course). If your parents offered, why not get the more expensive, but all around better entertainment/gaming console, the Xbox One. Its only 100$ more roughly, for little components that make it better.

Get whatever console your friends & family have. I have an Xbox One that I only use for TV and Netflix.
I'm getting a PS4 in 2 weeks because my friends and family have one.

Ps4 Is 100$ cheaper and it has better Controllers and Hd up to 2080 HDF

Like others have said, whatever your friends are getting. Although, if you want my opinion on the consoles, I think that the Xbox One triumphs over the PS4. I had an opportunity to play both in the same day and the Xbox One is noticeably better. Especially the controller, the Xbox One controller just feels right when you're holding it, and the way it plays is great. The PS4 controller is alright, but it's just too clunky and its not as enjoyable to use. That is just my opinion though, I'm sure the PS4 is very good, I just prefer the Xbox.

If your talking about quality of console go with ps4. If your looking to play with your friends go which ever one. Xbox One is more popular but PS4 is a better console. There's a lot of rants but if you look at the stats Ps4 wins by a long shot..

One your friends have I just got my xbox one today havent played it yet but the controller just feels tremendous !
