How can I make my .GIF smaller? I have an image that I'd like to make my avatar but it's around 450kb and the limit is 100kb.

Can you make .gifs file size smaller? and how?

Upload the gif to that, and keep reducing the colour in it.

Once you do it, press Optimize and it'll bring up the new image with the new KB next to it.
If it's too high, keep lowering the amount of colours until it's below 100KB

Unfortunately, sometimes the picture ends up pretty much black and white before it reaches 100KB.

Yeah... it didn't turn out so well. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] this is 93kb and 1 colour higher would be over 100kb

What I do is: change it into a video file, open it on Photoshop, change size and SAVE FOR WEB
