So i have had a AMD Phenom Quad-core at 3.8 ghz over the past 2-3 years and just purchased a
AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core (3.5/4.0GHz) for 110

Well yes,an upgrade is an upgrade!The 8320 is a nice CPU,very good.What are your other specs of your PC?

That's a great budget CPU, if you're just gaming it is one of the best CPU's for the money.

yes an upgrade is an upgrade 3.8ghz to 4.0ghz is a difference


The 8320 is actually 3.5Ghz stock.And you can't just say a higher clock speed means a better CPU?So a 4Ghz 8350 beats my i7 4770k @ 3.5ghz?lol.

What i mean is 4.0ghz in a newer cpu is a good upgrade, as compared to his 3.8ghz in an older cpu. He can also overclock it beyond that 4.0ghz point and get better performance out of it.

yeah i know its about cores and overall performance aswell, and the newer chip is probably more power effiecient aswell. Would you agree?
