If i'm honest I don't really like it. I mean the "R" is ok I guess, but, it's just another uncreative lava texture on the same font seen everywhere. The background just seems unrealistic in correlation to the R. You haven't handled it well, with the colours and overall scene.

The background of the banner looks pretty nice with that effect, but the logo just stands out like a sore thumb. It has no real blending or depth, and just doesn't look very good to me.
