Does anyone know if you get banned for an xp lobby, is it a perma ban right away or is it like mw3 where you get like a 2 days ban and reset

it all depends, now if you mod in mw3 no1 cares. Since ghost is new they will probably reset and ban you depending on the severeness of your modding.

It's on ghosts. I have 2 days played and just got in an xp lobby to get to 4th. My average score is through the roof but I can lower that. I don't really mind if I get reset I just don't want a perma ban. Should a play as a different character over double xp so it seems kinda legit?

Honestly I think you should be fine, same thing happened to me. I played 2 days and I was 3rd prestige and then I got into a lobby in which I thought I could just get SP infection without killing someone. I ending dying and becoming 4th prestige with 2 days played. Soo many people are doing these XP lobby's that Activision/Infinity Ward doesn't give a crap. So you should be fine.
