The 3K3Y is an optical drive emulator; it makes a Playstation 3 console believe that it is the disk drive and so you may play any .iso file (EG. Games)on a connected external hard drive, with the Playstation 3 believing it is originating from the console's DVD drive

Playstation Network safety

Many people ask us if 3k3Y is safe to use online

While we maintain that using Playstation Network is at your own risk, thousands of people use Playstation Network with 3k3Y, and we have not had any reports of banning due to 3k3Y. In essence, providing you use either the included 3key remote or the WiFi dongle and do not use the ISOmenu or DVDmenu methods for choosing games along with following the usual precautions of checking games with the provided software and not playing games before release, you are as safe on Playstation Network.

This is amazing is this working for any update and so you think this can get detected and autobanned

Yes, this works an all updates [I'm running it on the current OFW right now, playing all the newest games like GTA V, Call of Duty, Battlefield 4] and if you use the remote control then your chances of being banned are miniscule, and no one has been banned yet!
