The XK3Y is an optical drive emulator; it makes a Xbox 360 console believe that it is the disk drive and so you may play any .iso file (EG. Games)on a connected external hard drive, with the Xbox 360 believing it is originating from the console's DVD drive

*The Remote is not needed but is suggested as it provides more protection against bans & use with multidisk games.
**The Wifi dongle is an alternative to the remote and allows your phone / Tablet / laptop to control the XK3Y through a easy to use interface.
*** Harddrives come preloaded with software for the XK3Y and the correct file structure, as well as tutorials on how to use your XK3Y


Xbox Live safety

Many people ask us if Xk3y is 'Live Safe'.

While we maintain that using Xbox Live is at your own risk, thousands of people use Xbox Live with Xk3y, and we have not had any reports of banning due to Xk3Y. In essence, providing you use either the included xkey remote or the WiFi dongle and do not use the ISOmenu or DVDmenu methods for choosing games along with following the usual precautions of checking games with ABGX and not playing games before release, you are as safe on Xbox Live.
