Same problem happened to me but i deleted my update and redownloaded it and it worked . try this and tell me if this works.

Yes you need to get a new one or try cleaning your disc or blowing inside your disc tray cause it might be dusty I'f that don't work get a new one

yeah nevermind my brothers disc didn't even work it now its just doing the same as mine.. i think somethings wrong here and i tryed to delete and redownload update.. nothing.. same thing happens

both disc's are working on my brothers console but not on mine..

I think you should leave gta online for abit as it is more likely that R* are trying to modify the server to stop Hosters for RP/money lobbies can't play online

No cant be because my brother is playing online on his console and he could get on with both disc's and i cant get on with either one of them. It just freeze's at loading story mode.

Okay do this..

disconnect ps3 from internet , then reconnect it but make sure you have to rewrite the code from your internet box.. after you have reconnected ,turn off your ps3 for 2 minutes . turn it back on and it should be all good again.

what was the problem was your DNS was glitched onto the wrong server and this is why you could not connect to gta online
