Thats different to the processor you initially said. If it is the Phenom II X4 945 which is AM3 socket, then yes it will work in a AM3+ board like you have.

When it comes to replacing that processor with your new one, you won't have to set anything else up differently.

I think the 945 is my CPU, it says AMD Model Unknown but i know its quad core and has 3ghz so im assuming its that.
