im just wondering if there is a tool or a way to get the dvd key from the drive
(not boot with eject botton to get into xell) to get dvd key from console
i do not have any flashing/dvd drive tools
i bought a xbox with out a dvive and then rgh'ed it and bought a replacement drive
i will be changing the dvd key in the nand

i have been looking around for you and sorry but i cannot find a tool that is used to do that.However , i could be very wrong:/

Unfortunately, since it's a different drive, like you said Xell will read the installed DVD Key stored in the Nand, and not the attached DVD Drive.
There is nothing you can do about this unfortunately unless you can hook it up to your computer with the proper equipment so you don't fry the drive (Done that before!) to read the drives information, but since you don't have it, you could possibly find someone in your local area who would do it for a tenner or so.
Just type in to Google "Xbox 360 Flashing service [town here]" and replace 'town here' with your town obviously.
