I have recently seen that you can now jailbreak iOS 7 on the ipad air. I see some people say it works perfectly, and other say it messed up their phone/ipad. Is it safe to jailbreak or should I be safe and wait until it is fully stable?

You should have no problems when jailbreaking your device. The worst case scenario is getting your phone bricked. That can be solved by booting the iDevice into dfu and restoring it.

It's usually pretty safe to jailbreak. Think about it, they don't knowingly want to release a program that bricks peoples devices, that just causes head aches for them.

Make an iTunes back up of your iPad then jailbreak and all will be well.
