When are you supposed to hotswap the modded disc in is it at the first R* symbol or what PLEASE HELP

And last time I tried to hotswap on the loading screen it scratched my disc up badly

in order to hotswap you should install the game. On the dashbord click x(game details) then click install game. When loading hits 1 % swap disks.(iso for retail)
