I personally don't like tipping, I do not accept tips at work and no I'm not a waiter. I find tipping to be quite insulting, when someone tips me its a women driving a range rover and shes on her phone and she slides me 3 bucks. I find tipping to be insulting, to me tipping is saying here you go, I know you don't make enough money at work so here's a few extra bucks. I understand that some people work from tips and that's fine, but in a job where you DONT work for tips I find it to be an insult, and it personally annoys me when people tip me. I take the money and put into a charity jar because I don't want that.

I have never been given a tip in my entire life-time.

You can't really stop it unless you say so, I don't see why free money is a problem. However, just take it and move on. You must feel better putting it to charity anyway?
The only tip I get is get off TTG..

I don't think they are doing it because they think you're not a successful person.
Not all of them at least, I'm sure many are doing it just to say thank you.
People probably aren't as judgemental as you think they are.

To tell you the truth, my mom owns a resturant and is also a waitress. Many adults count on it beacause it helps them pay for their bills and food. If you would be friends with the customers they would come in more often and tip you more. I can understand thats how you think about tips but later in life if your still in a job in the waiter buisness i think that tips will still be important.

To be honest I don't understand why people tip people for doing their job, It's stupid.

When I go on cruises I tip the staff all the time even though you dont have too. But if someone does a good job they deserve a good tip. It's just a way of saying thank you for your hard work.

I don't really understand why you think that tipping is insulting. For the most part it's people liking the job you did and decide to reward you for your service. It's cool you give it to charity as well, but I would take it as a showing of respect.
