I started with the turtle beach x11's then they broke after a few months, then I had the astro a40's (which were great) but the sound stopped working after about a year and a half and now I have Turtle beach px5's. I'm thinking of selling these and using about 50 to buy another headset. As it is bluetooth, it's quite bad quality to use for skype calls on my pc which is the main use for the headset however I still speak to friends on the 360. So I need a headset that will both work on xbox 360 and pc, cost under 50 and have relatively good build and sound quality (The sound and build doesn't have to be great as I'm not going to be spending a large amount of money). Any help would greatly appreciated, thank you.

I found a headset on GAME, it might not be the greatest one but I'm sure it'll work for Xbox and PC. By the description I'm guessing you can hear most things when you play with it in-game.

You could send your astro A40's back to astro and they might fix it for you or another thing you could do is replace the cables to and from the mix amp but I would suggest sticking with A40's they hold up great compared to any other headset that I've had.
