So I did do some google searching.... And honestly I'm just lost. What's really saddening to me is I can read and write java, and c... but **** me if I so much as try to figure out how a graphics card is better.

So here's my issue... I want to start a comentary and even a stream. My FPS on OBS is BS. 20- IF I'm lucky. I keep coming across overclock, I know it's supposed to make shit better shit. But...What exactly does it mean to overclock? And how can I do it? Does it work for something specifically or can I overclock my entire comp? What's the side effects? Reason I haven't gotten near this before was because my friend's computer literally blew up on him and he told me it was overclocked. He had some badass alienware tower and then just poof. Smoke and bang! Gone. I mainly want response time faster and my graphics to be better or at least able to cope better in Skyrim. I can't use any of the fancy ENBs I want like Realvision.

Should I just update my graphics card? If so, to what? I don't want top tier, I just want "Gamer/Stream" favorite.

What about DLs what should I get other then speccy to check out my tower's "stats"?

Right first things first he is an idiot for 1) Buying an overpriced Alienware computer 2) Overclocking with no Heatsyncs.

Basically overclocking can be a fairly simple procedure where you enter the BIOS, depending on which MoBo you have then it could be easier or harder. I'll let somebody else pick up where I left of as I'm not exactly an expert just trying to give you some background knowledge .

Most people would suggest getting a GPU such as the AMD Radeon R9's (270X or 280X) and a decent processor. Basically even though you have said you don't want top tier spending the money on a 270 or 270X will HUGELY change your performances and, provided you have a good Processor, you could look at playing BF4 in Ultra etc whereas right now, I'm sure you're not.

Your Processor is outdated, by far as it is 2nd Generation Sandy Bridge and it's pretty much found the end of it's shelf life.

Hopefully I've gave you a slight insight on what you need to do, If you want more help PM me and I'll be sure to help or ask somebody else on the forums such as Stedos, Craigyy or TerrabyteZ.

All the best!

How much would you have to spend if you were to change your graphics card? Don't listen to the above poster about your processor being out of date, its fine.

Also what make and model power supply do you currently have?

Overclocking: The term oveclocking refers to running a component, usually tr CPU or the GPU, at a higher clock rate than what they are.
An example of this is I have a 6300, standard at 3.5/3.6GHz. I run a 4GHz Overclock in mine to make it a bit better at a few tasks.

ONLY overclock if you have the appropriate cooling whether it be a air cooled or watercooled. If it isn't cooled correctly/efficiently then it will most probably render the component useless.

If you are going to overclock, make sure you have the correct cooling.

Look up the NZXT Kraken G10. If you didn't know this, the cooler your GPU runs the better and faster it runs, and on your screenshot it said your GPU is 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Mine is running at a cool 26 degrees Celsius which is 78 degrees Fahrenheit and I'm not even using my Kraken yet! (I have the Cooler Master HAF X [which is a beast case btw] which keeps everything cold in my computer, with 4 fans built into the case and I have a Corsair h100i for my CPU)

Also, if you are looking to upgrade to a better graphics card I'd recommend any of these and you can decide based on pricing

1 Asus GTX 770

2 Asus GTX 770's

1 Asus GTX 760

2 Asus GTX 760's

These cards are great to start out with. (I started with and still have 1 GTX 770 and I can stream great, play BF4 in ultra, and do a lot of other games in the highest settings)

So yeah I hope this helps!
