Well, I'm soon to get a new CPU!
I'm upgrading from the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition to the AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz!
My current Power Supply is Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
My current Cooling is Cooler Master Vortex Plus 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
I am also running an AMD Radeon 7950 3GB
Should I upgrade my Power Supply and/or my cooling or should it do the trick for controlling my graphics card and my upcoming CPU?

I would suggest upgrading it if you have enough money to do so as the Corsair CX series aren't the best units.

I don't know if you know this already, but what motherboard are you getting, as you'll have to change it because the 8320 requires a AM3+ socket?

Oops, I actually forgot about that, my motherboard isn't compatible for the CPU either :/
I've got an MSI 760GM-E51 Micro ATX AM3 Motherboard

Do you have a budget for upgrading your system? We could suggest a new motherboard and processor if you like.

My budget is only enough for one or the other!
I have around 120 pounds to spend, I need the rest for a new Hard Drive!

I know this is over budget, however I would say its worth the money. Its a new generation six core processor and the motherboard is a decent motherboard without being crappy. But its really down to if you can afford that much over budget.

That could be a decent amount to be honest!
What would you say the CPU is compared to an Intel (etc is it compared to i5 and so on)

Well probably comparable to an i3 I would imagine, but the FX6300 is the best bang for buck at its price point.
