what she could of happened was REM paralysis. its what keeps you from acting out your dreams and it can still keep you paralyzed if you wake up suddenly.

REM paralysis is not an option as she never went to sleep and was infact just watching tv also i have exsperienced rem paralysis at the age of 14 witch i am i woke up and i could move my left hand i thought i was having a stroke even know im healthy and fit XD.

Yh but anyway we have heard pots and pans clashing together downstairs before and when we went downstairs salt was all over the kitchen

This community really isn't the best for helping you, they will mainly try and make a mockery out of you and try and say that you were on something or you are just seeing things, The fact is I know you are but with reason. You say you saw on the television that the room gets very cold when a ghost is in it, the fact that you saw this programme/advert/whatever may have flicked something in your mind, so when you woke up on the morning of which was maybe colder then usual, maybe your mum forgot to turn the heating on, or someone had a window open, You immediately saw this advert and instantly thought, It's a ghost. THERE IS A GHOST!

I literately got chills just reading that. I do believe is ghosts and i do believe that a ghost did that to you. Trying to communicate with you somehow

Basements get really cold really fast especially at night so that would explain that & if it was on something near you it would be that or it might of been your brother throwing it at your from the door then closing it slowly so you would't hear it
