I personally like the 99 Wrangler, but the green 97 I think it was, is also a nice one.

The 97 green wrangler is the nicest one in my opinion although I'm not really feeling the colour

That's what i thought, too!

But the downside is that it has a tear in the seat and no working AC or heat.

The guy wants 6800. I keep trying to get him to get it down to ATLEAST 6,000 that way i have 2500 left to fix it up.

I'm sure you'd be able to bump it down. It's not worth the extra 800, if he won't come down I'd just not go through with it because you could get a different one for cheaper and have more money left over to fix it up.

That's true, but it's hard to find one that around 5,000 already jacked up with ATLEAST 50% tread left on the tires, then i could use the 3500 left to fix up the inside to my specs.

Then you might as well try and talk to that guy and get him to bump down a bit

I'm really not a fan of jeeps if it was me i'd buy a truck. The green 97 wrangler would be the best one out of the lot. Its been modified in sort of a stealth way its not in your face out loud bright green with fluorescent pink wheels but it defiantly gets your attention.

Try get him down to $6500 which i think is around 4000GBP so its still pretty reasonable considering the things done to it.

EDIT: This just popped up for a price that seems rather reasonable. I'm not sure how far away it is from you as i don't really understand craigslist but it's cheaper. Its also a blank canvas for you to do what ever you please to it

For $6500 You could get a lift truck that will last longer than a "jeep"
