Currently have everything connected(i think) i can power on the pc and all fans are spinning but nothing on screen i have a solid red light for my CPU so im thinking there is an error or something there

i cant power off by holding the power switch I have to do it with the powersupply and i cant tell if the reset button is working because nothing on screen.

Make sure your CPU cable is in properly. It should be an 8 pin connector. Since the light on the CPU is red it kinda makes sense to check the connection.

Make sure all cables are plugged in firmly. If that doesn't work, remove each stick of RAM and try with each stick alone. If still not, remove CPU cooler and check you've mounted it the right way, no bent pins, etc.

Check you put the processor in before mounting the cooler onto the empty slot.

This happens to me when i had my dead motherboard in, my guess the motherboard has popped it clogs.

It might be worth testing all the components outside of the case and see if the system will post with different parts taken out.

Other than that, I think Buxty knows what she's talking about.

All your names are confusing :S lol

Right i took my processor out and from what I can see nothing is bent.

My RAM has a Green light i also have another green light but i think that's a light for the USB

could it be just the MoBo or the processor :S

If you have an ASUS board which you do, when the system POST's it will check all components, the light that sticks on usually is the issue.

Its not unheard of for motherboards to be faulty, but then again processors can come DOA aswell.
