Generally, yes. Nowadays, you want to look for RAM that is 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM.

Alright thanks but considering my laptops broke, i want to do a little gaming on this dell dimension and i need to upgrade its ram, would this be any good "2 GB (2X1GB) LOW DENSITY DDR PC-3200U Non-Ecc 400 MHZ 184 PIN CL3 RAM MEMORY"???
