It can't overheat. It's made not to. Mine is on 24/7. It's always on because it HAS to be on for you to say "Xbox, On"
My dad left it on for 3 days before (Full mode) and it wasn't near hot.

It acctuly can in certain conditions ex: Say you had it on a cloth or carpet and the room was like really hot and left it on for about 2-3 days then it would start to be really hot and force shutdown.

I Have It On A TV Stand Where Nothing Is covering The Vents
I Had My 360 Pro There Since Launch And It Never Overheated
Hopefully Won't. Overheat Now

I haven't heard of one overheating yet.
I have played BF4 for 5 hours straight once and had no issues.

Unless airflow is cutoff,the console wont overheat. Bad places for overheating would be; on a blanket, on carpet, in a closed cupboard, or against a wall
