Hey
I recently replaced my brothers PS3 with a new 750 GB Harddrive while I was in the middle of doing the firmware on the harddrive it hit me, would this work?
When you first plug in the harddrive it requires the firmware to be plugged in on a usb if I were to download the 3.55 firmware and chuck it on a USB, plug that into a ps3 with a new harddrive would it install 3.55 firmware for a jailbreak? or will I have to install 4.50 and use a E3 flasher to downgrade to 3.55?
Thanks,
SirWhingeALots.

Its not possible. It will tell you to install 4.46 or above. You will need to downgrade using the e3 flasher.

It would be cool if that was possible but its not :/ if you really want to downgrade buy and e3 flasher. If you buy one make sure you do the steps right or you will mess up you ps3.
