There's a new source arriving to the scene saying that Mike Slive (commissioner of the SEC) has purchased FSU and brought them into the SEC right before the game ended, which would give the SEC it's 8th consecutive National Championship. This is all possible because Florida State has wanted to join the SEC for years, but has been rejected by Mike Slive every time. So it is possible that Mike Slive wanted to end the Bowl Champion Series with the SEC winning 8 consecutive. Here's the only source for it so far. I am expecting a press conference tomorrow if this is really true.

It takes more than 2 minutes to move a team to a different conference. There is a process.

if he did purchase them, they wouldn't be considered in the SEC before winning. like xTriickz said, there's a process. one can't just move a team to a different conference in a matter of minutes.

You're right, there is a process, but that process involves 2 out of state SEC teams voting on the induction of a new school. Like I said, this is all a rumor, but a very possible rumor. Everyone knows Mile Slive was very serious about the SEC winning. He even announced weeks ahead that he wanted the SEC to win its 8th consecutive. But what you forget, is there were many SEC school presidents at the game with Mike Slive. They could've bypassed the whole process and just brought FSU in. There's also another theory that suggests Mike Slive just bought FSU to come to the SEC. He is the comissioner of some of the most wealthy schools, and the SEC makes a killing every year in profit.

But this is all a rumor, and I expect if it's true that it will be confirmed tomorrow.
