Johnny Manziel will enter the 2014 NFL draft, forgoing his final two seasons of eligibility at Texas A&M, sources confirmed to ESPN.
The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner filed the official paperwork to declaring himself eligible for the draft on Wednesday.
Manziel's decision was reported earlier Wednesday by NFL.com.
Widely projected as a first-round draft selection, Manziel is coming off his second productive season as the Aggies' quarterback. He threw for 7,820 yards and 63 touchdowns while rushing for 2,169 yards and 30 more scores over his two-year career at Texas A&M.

Thats so dumb. He should stay and finish college football. He could at least win a national title before he goes to the NFL.

At least if he finished college then in the future he could have something to "fall back on".

If he stays, he could hurt his draft stock, kind of like Matt Barkley did.
It's actually a smart move if you look at it as a business perspective...

I'm glad Manziel made the leap. Not only does he go to the NFL early, but he makes the situation open for both Aggieland and the NFL.
Aggies have a logjam at QB right now with the top QB in the nation, Kyle Allen, committed to the team and the early favorite to win the starting role. Joeckel and Hill are still there and they are waiting to take the starting role as well.
As for Manziel, it's not like he had anything left to prove. Heisman finalist both years he started, winning one of them. Already proved that he can play in the toughest conference and excel as a scrambler and pocket passer. To put the cherry on top, he will be a first round pick with his value as high as ever. One injury could ruin his stock so why not just go and not take the risk. It's obvious that Manziel is not going for his degree and actually plan on being anything else besides a star in the NFL.

He's going to be a bum when he comes to the NFL just like 100s of QBs in the past. Just my opinion but to me he's just another QB that's going to try and run around all the damn time like Michael Vick tried to and look where that got him lol.
