You cannot jailbreak a ps3 if the firmware is above 3.55,

You need special hardware tools and only certain models are down gradeable.
Not possible by software updates.

Two questions.

Do you have experience in taking apart a ps3?

Do you have 70/$120 to spend on equipment?



Also please do not try to install one of the 4.53 jailbreaks on youtube. It will just brick ur ps3 and you will not be able to fix it.

hey so my ps3 says CECH-2001A and is on the current ofw (4.50 or 55 i think) if i get an e3 flasher will i be able to bring it to 3.55 and get going from there? or is my system unable to downgrade that far and im screwed jailbreaking wise?

Nope your fine, you can downgrade to 3.55

There is NO free method to jailbreak your ps3.
