TUTORIAL

Downloads

- Charles(Proxy): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- Node.js(DNS): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- Hotfix Bypass Package(Everything Else): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Extracting the files-

Extract the files in the Bypass Package in a location you can easily access. This package contains a few things you'll need to set up the server. The download link can be found under the Requirements at the top of the tutorial. Some of this will need to be changed to work with your computer.

- Node.js DNS Server
- Charles Rewrite Config Settings
- Mongoose Webserver set for this bypass

Server-

To make the process easier, we'll start your webserver early. Open the /Bypass/Server/ folder and double click mongoose-4.1 (SERVER).exe to start the server, and let it run in the background. The server is preconfigured for port 8887 and will start in the taskbar.

The purpose of this webserver is similar to the old reason but you won't need to worry about editing your hosts file. If you have any Rockstar entries added to your hosts file, remove them.

You will need to recreate what happened before Rockstar implemented their hotfix. We'll be creating a rewrite rule that gives 301 Permanent Redirect and tells your console that the tunables is located in the old location (prod.cloud.rockstargames.com). Charles Proxy does a great job manipulating HTTP traffic.

Automatic (with Config Import):
1. Start Charles Proxy and go to Tools>Rewrite
2. At the bottom, click "Import"
3. Go to the directory you put the Bypass Pack and open/import both .xml files for your console.
4. Click "Serve Tunables" on the left-hand side
5. Double click the only entry under "Rules"
6. Change the value at the bottom to your local IP and port of your webserver (the preset port for the server is 8887) and click OK
7. Click Apply and then OK.
8. Go into Charles and select Proxy>Proxy Settings and change the HTTP port to 80.
9. Check "enable transparent HTTP proxying" and click "OK"
10. Go to Proxy>Access Control and add 0.0.0.0/0 to the list and click "OK"

Manually:
1. Go to Tools>Rewrite
2. Click the "Add" button on the left side.
3. Click the newly added rule and click the upper "Add" button under "Locations" to add a new location
4. Add this information and click OK

5. You want to add three entries under "Rules". Click the lower "Add" button and add these rules:

Location:

6. Click "Add" on the left-hand side to add another rewrite rule
7. Click the upper "Add" button to add a location and add this information and click "OK"
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
8. Click the lower "Add" button to add a new rule and add this information and click "OK" (MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE IP!!!)

9. Click "Apply" then "OK".
10. Select Proxy>Proxy Settings and change the HTTP port to 80.
11. Check "enable transparent HTTP proxying" and click "OK"
12. Go to Proxy>Access Control and add 0.0.0.0/0 to the list and click "OK"

Starting Your DNS:

You will need Node.js installed for this tutorial to work correctly. This will set up a DNS server on your computer. This DNS server route traffic from your console to your proxy and out to the internet.

1. Open the /Bypass/Node.js/ folder
2. Copy everything from the Node.js folder into C:/Program Files/nodejs/
3. Navigate to C:/Program Files/nodejs, right click DNS.js and choose "Edit"
4. Find the line that looks like this:
Code:
//EDIT BELOW AND CHANGE TO YOUR LOCAL IP ADDRESS
//EDIT BELOW AND CHANGE TO YOUR LOCAL IP ADDRESS
//EDIT BELOW AND CHANGE TO YOUR LOCAL IP ADDRESS
var myIP = '192.168.9.150';
...and change the value to your local IP address.
5. Go back to C:/Program Files/nodejs/ and double click DNS.bat. It should give you a window like this:

Tunables:
You can edit the tunables.json file located in these folders...
Code:
/Bypass/Server/server_files/titles/gta5/ps3/tunables.json
/Bypass/Server/server_files/titles/gta5/ps3/tunables.json
... depending on your console.

NOTE:
At this point, editing your tunables to crazy values will cause your game to crash! This will not harm your profile or console. GTAO simply freezes when the tunables is loaded. The bypass is confirmed successful and can be tested by changing the snow value to "true".

Console:

You'll need to change your DNS settings on your console to your computer's local IP address.

Primary: LOCAL IP ADDRESS
Secondary: 8.8.4.4 (if needed)

This is not my tutorial. Im only distributing it to help others. I only played a small role in this method.

thanks to lolnames from S7 for the videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgBa643Kkq4
