I'm not one to believe in that either, but I think Bohemian Grove is something that is very interesting to look into. Very wealthy and influential people (including some presidents) gather around an owl statue and do plays and rituals for about a weekend. Probably the closest thing you are going to get to The Illuminati.

I sort of believein them but not really at the same time. I know for a fact that in Harvard there was a secret society called the skull and bones society or something like that and former presidents were accepted in it back when they were still going to school. I think that now the akull and bones society has changed their name to the illuminati but im not sure. But only the people with the highest power/ family connections are accepted in the illuminati. The Illuminati did exist. There is no doubt about that. It's just what they did that is some what a mystery. Although I believe it was a group of scientist during a time when science was oppressed. They were labelled as Satanists because they didn't follow any particular religion.

Most of the time now when you see 'Illuminati' imagery in music videos etc... it's just for effect or a reaction.
