I haven't slept in 2 days and ive been thinking a little crazily(if that's even a word) about aliens and the univers and all that kind of stuff. This WILL get kind hard to understand cuz idk how I should word it but bare with me.

So ive been thinking if were not the only life form in the universe then obviously that would mean there are others somewhere out there. Now my question is that how come they haven't tried contacting us in any form of way? Like they live in a different place in the universe meaning they have different resources and materials in their "area" meaning that would make them technologically advanced in the sense of their stuff being ddifferent from ours and probably is better than our technologies. do you think theres a reason why they havent come in contact with us? I know theyre probably far as **** but i mean why cant they send a really advanced satelite thats made by a different "brain"( by brain i meant like a different person building a satelite) to send out as far as they can like the satellite we have, I forgot the name of it but I know we have one that contaisn the human DNA sequence/code. But I'm juts really curious.

Sorry if it didn't make sense I'm a little sleep deprived. But anyways thx for reading and let me know your guys'tthoughts

How do you know they haven't tried?
Maybe their just like us trying to find the technology that will allow us to converse or even just discover eachother?

Yea I was thinking the same thing but I mean if they lived in a different area in the universe then wouldn't that maybe give them the access to different materials to build something far more advanced than our things? Thus giving them more success into contacting us

It's likely that Humanity is one of the first intelligent species in the Universe, and we are still quite primitive.
Taking that into account with the simply massive distances, the chances of a civilization having created something which could reach us, and the chances of them being close enough to us is pretty slim.

There could be a civilization 2 stars away from us which hasn't developed this technology.
Then there could be a civilization 2 Billion stars away from us which has, and they could be pointing it in the wrong direction.
There's so many variables to take into account though.
