will upgrading the ram make playing games better i have a 4gb with 3.47 usable if i upgrade the ram will that make me be able to play games better with higher res and such?

Necessarily no,but however ram will make the game a bit smoother if you upgrade for example 2gb to 6gb. Games are becoming more demanding in ram slowly. So if you want to upgrade your ram i would go up to 8gb as 8gb will be enough for a really long time. However if your doing some heavy editing or video recording you can go a bit higher than 8gb. So in the end i say 4gb is enough for right now, but in the future you will have to upgrade to 8gb.

Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit OS? 32 Bit limits RAM to 4GB so 8GB would be a waste of money.
But what are the rest of your system specs?
