I myself don't really know a whole lot about capture cards but I do know from friends experience that the legato is really nice and has the best quality.

I prefer the Elgato I have one and it works great. It is very easy to setup for PS3 you have to plug in 4 cords because of how it was made i`m not sure if it's the same on PS4
(3 cords on Xbox) BTW it records in 1080p.

Its almost has the same quality, but the Program for the elgato is way better.... And supports the Xbox one and PS4 (The HDPVR might I don't know)

HDPVR2 or an Elgato. They are both HD, and almost all gameplay you see on big channels are in HD, they are definitely worth the investment.
