When you join the party, you will see a sign that says 'turn party chat on' try clicking that.

i know that when i pressed it it has that loading symbol then it says u cant turn on party chat now please try again

Unplug the systems cords from the back of it and try again. usually does the trick

It's most likely because your NAT isn't open.

Enable UpnP, and bridge / enable ip passthrough on your modem.

Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)
Port 500 (UDP)
UDP Port 3544 (UDP)

Kay this is from prior knowledge, just hold the xbox button on the front of your xbox until the hole console restarts, that's May work, that always solve my problems.

just for future help the party you were trying to join was probally full so you couldnt turn party chat on...

go into network settings and clear your Mac address then it'll work that's what I did.
