i have a gpu (asus geforce gtx 640) and i put it in my system and it boots up and gets to the start windows normally screen and i hit enter and it starts loding windows back up and while its loading there is like a blue static that shows up on some parts of the monitor and after about 5-10 seconds the monitor trys to adjust its self a few times then the screen goes black and the motherboard speaker beeps and the system restarts



also it boots up in safe mode but the blue static is there and traces the pointer

please help me out ive contacted asus but they have been no help

Was the GPU new or old? Could be faulty/damaged

brand new and was just shipped back from an RMA by asus which they "refurbished" and sent back

If possible test it in another machine and see if the problem is there, if it is the card is a dud.

Had similar issues with my new GTX 770 had to send it back and get a new one which works fine.
