The_Road_To_WW3 wrote No, this is why there is police at (most) schools. Having armed teachers is just as dangerous as having armed kids in a school.
Well sorry to burst your bubble almost %90 of schools in south west georgia do NOT have cops, Im pretty sure that also goes for at least half of all schools in the country.

Im talking about the ratio between armed officials and armed teachers and yes nearly 1/3 of all schools have armed guards to 72 districts with armed teachers.

I agree 100%. It's just that most teachers don't want to carry around any sort of weapon. I think it's just kind of sad that this even has to be discussed. :/

I'm sorry I'm late posting on this, but I am ok with them doing this. If you ever get a teacher that gets to the point of ever using a gun on students, what is stopping him from getting a gun just like every other criminal that uses them? Putting guns in the hands of the teachers can stop these horrible situations, or at least stop it before it gets worse. I wish the human race could get to a point where we never need guns, but we will most likely never have that type of world. We just got to do what we got to do, and arming teachers isn't a bad idea to help deter these situations.

I'm not very thrilled of the plan that every teacher should have a weapon.. i mean, it's still a weapon and you can do so much bad things with it.. but I also think it's necessary, because the current situation demands it. But it's very important that they do proper training and do some physical tests, so that it's ensured that the teacher knows how to use such a weapon and that he can handle an extreme situation.
