Ok depending on which Capture Card u have this tutorial will come very handy to you. it took me a little less then 5 minutes to setup and i didnt have to buy anything . most people go the av splitter way which completly messes up ur picture on the pc. So u will need a double sided RCA cable like the one below and a capture card. a yellow cord will help, you can find these in ur dvd players. other wise go to radioshack.

Next, you will next to find the output section of you TV, sorry if ur tv doesnt have one maybe it'll be best to stick to AV splitters. And plug in the one side of the RCA cable.

After that you will want to connect the other end of the RCA to your Capture Card in my case it is a Dazzle DVC100

Then start up Pinnacle Studios and choose your device most of the time it connects automaticly, mine ussually connects to my webcam your done
