All of the Linux operating systems are based on the same code under the hood. But they have various different terminal commands, layout, and etc.... What do you intend on using Linux for? As Linux can scare away Windows users due to it being a somewhat more complicated matter to learn. You would have to reteach yourself.

Linux is an open source operating system..if you are using windows atm then i recommending you dual boot it if you want it..google it! Really nice OS..i use it all the time

I have Ubuntu on one of my computers. It's just another operating system like Windows or Mac ;)

I would use it to have an Operational OS because I don't have one that currently works
