the gradient map is overpowering, the effects are okay I like the pen tooling but the flow is very subtle. the monochromatic scheme worked for this piece but the over contrasting is what took away the appeal for me.

If you 3 above say there is "too much in it" then that is just terrible feedback and don't know anything about this lads tags.

Loving this tag, as well as the other one you did the other day, just such great care and accuracy. It's easy to see the whole point of the tag: The football player which is great.

Now, the only thing I would improve is the Lens Flare. It is abit eye distracting off of the tag, maybe add it in a corner and put high flare so it just comes in to the image abit.
