You can check out the different forums in he Xbox modding/Jtag section. There you'll find a sticky explaining everything, if I'm not mistaken. I'd tell you the different things you need, but I'm not very good with modding so I'll just help you out by linking you to the sticky.

Edit: Can't seem to find the sticky, maybe you could try using the search tool but Forums/f=180/xbox-360-jtag-discussion.html there you'll see many posts that ask similar question to yours.

The first thing you'll want to get is a JTAG'd Xbox.
