It comes from the natural ability to inquire what could actually be possible. I think they "could" eventually be real, from evolution, or inventions in medicine.

The effect of adrenaline is interesting. I wouldn't call the effect a "superpower" because, its a natural occurrence, there's nothing "super" about it.

Indeed, but with a large amount of adrenaline would make it "super" of what you would be capable of doing with a fair amount of adrenaline in your system.
