No, because if it wasn't for video games all the shit in my life would have caught up to me and who knows where I would be now perhaps not here for sure.

Yes and no if a mental ill person plays a violent game lets say gta this could cause the person to think it would be ok but in reality it's not in all the massicars that accrue they always have a mental illness or something about them made them snap, and no because if anything gta actually educates people because the character has to face a punishment for doing something,

The most I've harmful that I can blame on video games is spraining my hand from smashing my desk. A few hours on Call of Duty or Battlefield can do that to a person. But to answer your question, no video games don't really influence violence, just quick momentary (maybe 5 seconds at most) lapse in judgement.

I think that the do somewhat. If a kid is playing gta for hours and hours a day everyday then it would have an impact on the way they behave.

Flutterborn wrote I think it's stupid when parents send complaints to the companies of games like GTA V to complain that the games are too violent for their kids to be playing. Uhh.. hello.. don't buy them the game? Like really.

Yes! these are some of the most annoying ones i've seen and i mean c'mon theres an age warning on there for a reason. I read about a parent that tried to sue a game store because GTA was violent, it was absolutly rediculous.

Yea i see what you mean, in cases with autism for example like the whole joker shooting thing that could stem from video games aswell.

I think games like GTA sometimes have impact on certain people's behaviour. I mean check this out [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
A 15 year old boy tried to rob a bank not long after GTA had been released? Played it just a little too much i would say LOL

Yes and no

I think if someone has the violence inside them, video games may make the person explore that violence

However, I dont think it makes people violent
