Don't get me wrong I'm not being mean in anyway but these adverts are starting to annoy the hell out of me. For the past week these stupid adverts on come on during breakfast/lunch/dinner time. I'm sitting there eating my Sunday dinner and the advert comes on, a kid who you could see every bone in there body lying on the ground with flies swarming around her. The people who put the adverts on could at least put them on at a suitable time because you know, I'd actually like to eat my meals in peace instead of having the throw it in the bin.

Rant over!

I sort of agreed with you, up until 'I have to throw my food in the bin'.
That's just stupid, what if you were that hungry? The producers aren't stupid, they do it at meal times to get the attention, you shoving food down your throat whilst the kids on TV wish they could have clean water.
It disgusts me that you say that.

The cool million dollars they spend on those commercials is a fraction of what they actually make from them.

Well, the ads don't go for 10 minutes, and can't you eat and watch TV at the same time? Why would you have to re heat it just because the ad came on? It can't really put you off that much, it's another human for damn sake.

well actually if you've watch the ads some of them actually go for around 3-4 minutes, and yes, it does put me off eating as it's disgusting to look at.. human or not, I still don't want to look at someone lying there half dead while I'm eating my dinner THAT I PAID FOR!

That's just the use of shock tactics though, them adverts will be put on at a specific time when they know people will be based around the TV.
I completely agree that none of us want to watch this however I suppose it comes down the way of the media

I agree with the OP, there is nothing worse than sitting watching TV with a nice meal then boom "give just 10 pound a month and you could save a childs life, this child has aids and his mother died last month" it does put you of your dinner when you see maggots and flies all over dying children.

the other thing that annoys me is the people who say they don't have what you have they have no clean water or anything, yes i understand that but i was born in the uk and we don't suffer from things like that places like Africa have always been like that and we have always giving money to them but it's not going to change the way Africa is.

Look at india i think it was who we gave all that money to for years and years yet there still starving but instead of using the money we send them to feed the poor they send a rocket into space ?

I'll never understand why they need our money or how much money is actually spent helping them out..
