What are you doing when the processor is at that temperature? If you are on the desktop when the system is idling its likely that you have a bad cooler mount.

I would suggest remounting the cooler. If you have overclocked then I would need to know which cooler you are using to determine whether it is suitable.

I just have the web open and it has been fine for the past week but now for some reason its just really high I haven't overclocked and am using the stock AMD cooler!

Check the fan on the cooler is spinning, then you could check the case airflow while you run the system. If when you open and leave off the side panel when the system running, the temperature lowers drastically then its going to be the case airflow that is the issue.

If the issue persists, then remove, clean then replace your cooler. (with thermal compound applied first)

I took the side panel off and it has gone down to 48 -50

On idle it should not be that hot, have you loaded the system with a game or benchmark yet? What sort of temperature does it increase to?

no I haven't how should I do it?

Get a program called HWMonitor, open it and leave it open while you play a game. It will record the current, minimum and maximum temperatures recorded while it was open.

You can then see if the temp rises to one which is bearable or if you really do need to remount the cooler. Did you check if the fan was spinning?

Yeah the fan is spinning fine! its now down to 45 whats the ideal temp?
