Well the maximum day to day operating temp is 62c for all FX processors and to be honest the stock cooler is not going to get amazing temperatures.

For example my overclocked FX8120 on a AIO cooler will max out at 40c under full loading. So it depends whether you want to deal with the temp as long as its below 60c odd, or if you want to spend a little on a better cooler.

Thats acceptable temperatures for a FX6300 on stock cooling. Just note that you'll always need to read the temperature under FX6300 header for the sensor on the processor.

If you find the stock cooler to be ugly, loud, poo or anything else then you can easily change them if you wanted too, but as yours stands now there is nothing wrong with it.

Well on my 6300 i have a 4.4GHz overclock with a Hyper 212 stuck on the top. It maxes out at around 42 degrees C and Idles around 12C...

So yours is very hot for any idling stock clock CPU.

Again, my 6300 with a 212 (see a trend here) at 4GHz* idles at 4 and tops at 30.
Definitely remove it and re apply it. Bearing in mind you will need new thermal compound. Or just go all out on a better cpu cooler.

*Only 4GHz cuz me mobo is like no to anything higher.
