Do you think Teachers should be paid more?




I was sitting in Math Class thinking about this. I do think they should be paid more because they are the future of the World. Yes I know Entertainment is HUGE in this world but really Millions upon millions for playing something.

no I am not hating on sports, I personally love soccer and I'm trying hard to get colleges to notice me

I do think they deserve more pay but at the same time I think this is a risk because if you increase pay then you run the risk of them becoming lackadaisical and the teaching effectiveness going down. And with the unions, at least in NJ, they have jobs for life. And never mind the huge increase in property taxes it would bring with it.

I actually think they should. They have to deal with kids (some good, some bad) every day.

I think they should be on minimum wage they think their mad in school but if you seen them outside of school they won't even look at you never mind say anything

No I don't think they should. If you really think about it, it's a pretty simple job. Almost no labor at all and they get a lot of days off (Winter break, summer, holidays, etc). The average teacher makes about 45K a year and that's way over the average American.

Idiots who kick a ball for a living get paid far too much, but that's because so many people buy into football. I personally want to grow ul and be that awesome teacher that everyone wants

I don't think teachers should get paid more for your reason. I am assuming you are talking about highschool teachers. Im sure that College/University teachers get payed more as well, because they need to have certain degrees to be able to teach, and that will allow them to earn more money.

Ofcourse they deserve more, considering what they're doing. But paying teacher's more would attract more people to the profession, remember that there are only a certain amount of Schools, College's and Universities.
