My 5s will not connect to itunes,i have no reason why. I press yes to "Trust Computer" on my 5s and it makes the disconnecting sound . Im on windows 8 . I could really use some help cause i need to backup my 5s .

Is the cable your using MFI certified?

Same exact thing is happening to me! Except it's an iPhone 5 and an iPad retina display. I trust computer and then iTunes won't recognize at all

Try this:


Close iTunes.
Disconnect your device
Search "services"
Click "system" in search
click "View Local Services"
right-click "Apple Mobile Device"
click "Stop"
wait for it to stop
Click "Start"
Reopen iTunes
Connect your device.



Done.
