Traditionally installing Windows via optical (disc) drive is a plug and play procedure. Put in the disc and everything from there is automated.

Installing windows to a hard drive or solid state via SATA cable (normal way) is plug and play yes.

The only optical drives I've ever bought are OEM. I've never bought a drive that came with specific drivers... You should be perfectly fine, I didn't need drivers with my installation using an OEM drive and a Windows 7 installation disc..

It will just work. That's what the previous posters just said...

These days drivers aren't really NEEDED to boot up and work, but to make them work at their best then you have to install drivers(I didn't need to install drivers for my disk drive, and I still haven't and it installed windows fine, and it works perfectly still.)

I just built my PC and I did not have a driver so I had to make an ISO file of Windows 8.1 and put it on the USB then just plug it in to your Computer and let it do all the magic.
