I was just wondering one thing, I have a GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-D3H motherboard, and I was just wondering if I can put the Intel CPU in, but then have like Cross-Fire 7970's, would it work? Or have an AMD processor and have an nVIDIA SLI formation?

Thanks,
James

CPU and GPU combinations are not set, so you can have any GPU with any CPU. The one exception is with APUs, where if anything you should pair the APU with a specific discrete GPU. Your mobo has the appropriate PCI-e slots so both 7970s would run at x8 in crossfire. The only issue is that you will need a beefy power supply, I recommend no lower than 850w for high end dual GPU configs.

Yes. You should be fine. Not quite sure if I've heard of the 4570K, but it'll work fine with a LGA1150 CPU and you'll be able to crossfire those two GPU's, aslong as you have enough wattage in your PSU.

Also, look out for the spacing between the PCIe (16x) and the PCIe (8x) lanes on the motherboard as they are a little far apart. You MAY need a longer Crossfire bridge.
