What do you guys from the UK think about this proposal of us having to go to school for 9 hours per day (9am - 6pm)instead of the usual 6, they also said that with this they will make holidays shorter.

I think it's kind of stupid..

Who ever proposed that probably doesn't go to school. Good thing that I live in the US. I personally hated going to school for the origional 6 hours.

Its not just in the UK in US the president is trying to do that to. The reason's they give here is because other countries are ahead of us in tests ans stuff. but they always compare us to china which they live at school. they have like 12 hour school days.
Edit: Plus we do 2 hours of homework every night depending on what grade your in. but image that a 12 hour school day and 2 Hours of Homework!

Meh, I'm in Lower Sixth at the school I went to from 1st-5th year (year 7-11)... and our registration in the morning has always been 8:40 and the day has finished at 4pm, so that's a 7hours 20 minute day... a 9 hour day is pretty arduous but hey ho, it won't affect me haha

Glad I'm not in school anymore lol.
It was long enough doing 9 till 3:25.

9 hour school days will be far too long and the students will just be drained of energy and won't want to do any work.

Some people are arguing this. They have said that students will be to exhausted and tired to learn.
