I think you should buy a PC personally. I used to have a PS3 and stil have an Xbox 360 so I have had years of experience on consoles. I haven't had a chance to try out the Xbox One or PS4 but I play on PC. I think PC is much better in my opinion as there are so many different parts you can get to build one for a very reasonable price too. Plus if anything goes wrong, you can always replace individual parts. The peripherals such as keyboards, mice and headsets have a huge range to choose from. Finally;) there are SO many more games out there for PC than consoles, such as indie games and more, free to play games etc. Steam's a great place for games.

I have owned PS2, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One. I sold them and got a PC.
Best decision I've ever made. It's saved me money already by buying games from Steam Sales alone.
Online is also free in most games.


Just get a PC. You won't regret it.
